Warfare Records is a independent records company based in the heart on Aarhus, Denmark. The company officially began working in April 2006. Basically Warfare is a non-profit company and no one in the administration receives any salary or payment for their work. This is to be seen as a statement of the spirit of the company. The money being earned from the artists should in the last ends end up in the pockets of the artists.
We see it as our job to professionalise the Danish music underground. The Danish music scene has the past few years experienced boom of growth in numbers of talented artists and bands – such a huge boom that many of these will never see the bright light of the public eye. This is where Warfare steps in. We take musicians out of they parents cellars and give them a chance to produce a professional recording high sound quality. Meanwhile we take care of the professional production of the actual CD’s and covers, so that the artist has a chance to break out of the CD-R-curse. Our goal is to deliver a product that in it’s physical shape is well fit to compete with larger commercial releases.

Warfare is not locked on one genre. We will not tie our self down on categories or distinctive style, but instead we are seeking something deeper in all types of music. Talent is a vague thing, but some of our measures are: honesty, passion, will and energy. The music has to deflect the persons standing behind it and be a truthful expression of the feelings behind the music. This is an absolute criteria for writing and performing good music. The good song is by far more important to us than genre or salability. Therefore the artists have to burn for what they do, be willing to take a chance and give 100% of their concentration.
